The TCU Horned Frogs opened the 2007 baseball season by traveling to Orlando, Florida for the first of a three game series against the University of Central Florida Golden Knights. In an impressive display of pitching, fielding and batting the Horned Frogs overwhelmed the Golden Knights by a score of 10 to 1. Jake Arrieta started and pitched 5 innings, giving up a run to earn the win. Newcomer Seth Garrison pitched 3 innings of shutout relief and was followed by Cody Dunbar who pitched a perfect 9th inning. Offensively the Frogs were paced by Matt McGuirk's triple and homerun and Andrew Walker's 2 hits. Steven Trout made 2 outstanding defensive plays from his second base position.
